Fort William, Scotland, The Alexandra Hotel

Fort William is the largest town in the West Highlands of Scotland, an area of renowned scenery with an important history. Fort William has the Largest Mountain in the U.K.- Ben Nevis, and Loch Morar-the deepest Loch, with beautiful glens, forests and beaches in between.

We will be staying at The Alexandra Hotel which has a central location and part of the fabric of Fort William since 1876.

Following our success with our Turkey and Tinsel break to Aviemore last year, we have decided to visit Fort William this year. We will be leaving Newcastle on 9th November travelling to our hotel, The Alexandra, which has been part of the fabric of Fort William since 1846, surrounded by beautiful scenery of Ben Nevis and Loch Linhe. We will be staying for 4 nights and return to Newcastle on 13 November, after sampling some of the scotish hospitality and scenery, having visited Mallaig and Newtonmore.

• Day 1. Our tour starts on 9/11/09, leaving Newcastle travelling to Fort William, Alexandra Hotel.

• Day 2. Day trip to Mallaig through the beautiful scenic glens and Loch Linhe.

• Day 3. Day trip around Loch Lagan to Newtonmore and Kingussie.

• Day 4. Free day in Fort William, for shopping and sightseeing.

• Day 5. Say goodbye to the beautiful views of Ben Nevis and the Lochs and return to Newcastle.
